I went to this event organized by my fellow Panhellenic council member, Kady Hautala, and I am so glad I now have the skills to do basic CPR and first aid on adults. Our instructors were very clear, and I was able to practice on machines until I had compressions down just right. I was glad to be there with my friend McKenna as well, together we learned skills that could save a life.

I had a great time helping to set up and run the Mutt Strut in Reaney Park! We helped set up a balloon arch, move tables, blow up balloons, place signs, and help direct folks. There were so many cute dogs, and fun stations like a picture booth, agility course, and goodies! The weather started out cloudy in the morning but cleared up for an awesome afternoon. My hours were from 8:30-12 but there were enough people that I was able to leave early at 11:30, for a total of 3 hours completed, see image for signup genius list of hours!
There were some really great perspectives presented from a couple different speakers about what disinformation is and what we can do about it.
Had a wonderful experience and very informative evening listening to the panel speak about food insecurity in Pullman and Whitman County. In the Q&A students asked about ways to help out people who have recently been impacted by the forest fires and WSU's role, which was very enlightening.
