A lot of the Sigma Phi people showed up so most of the tasks had more people than was needed. That also meant that every task got done really quick. I assisted in moving wood and tools into a small barn, moving windows and window panes around the big barn, raking leaves, cleaning historical pieces, and burning old wooden spools.

Thank you, Lucas. I am on the outlook for helpers to explain projects for me. It's less efficient when I need to be on each project. Could you guys maybe pass the word around for me? That volunteer work could also be explaining projects. I'm trying to get the word out. Thanks so much for everything.

I loved this volunteer experience! Very wonderful people, the work was fun, and I felt like I was making a difference by improving the trail. Some bikers rode by and thanked us and it was nice to know I was helping.

It was a great event giving back to our community helping them out with our service. The vandal food pantry is all set after fixing up the storage. We did finish up a bit early but there was good teamwork.

Excellent organizations working together. Well organized and full of pleasant people. I helped weigh bags of food brought in from different Scout groups from their "Scouting for Food" event. They brought in a combined 2,800 lbs. of goods over the two and a half hours I was there! All in all I had a great time helping a good cause.

Yes did some labeling on some cans and took a wagon to be able to fill up the 2 pantry the rec center and CTC. Someone donated us more food at the CTC. Went back to the pantry to label more and help food not bomb to take the expired food. It was great.

we labeled food, distributed it and then helped get rid of expired products so that they could be used for compost

This was a very humbling experience. The girl who helped us was very friendly and made the job fun. We labeled and organized food in the pantry and then went around campus and dropped it off at the pick up areas. The the end we helped get rid of all of the expired food so that it could be taken to be used as compost. That part was pretty sad just seeing how much food goes to waste, especially keeping in mind how many people go to sleep hungry without access to proper food every night.
