Homes of Hope work alongside foster care state agencies in Washington and Idaho, serving foster, adoptive and biological families. We work to fill the gaps lacking in support, education, and resources for foster children that have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse.
The foster care system underinvests in foster children, contributing less than 50% of what costs an average American family to raise a child from 0-17 years of age. We provide foster families with practical resources, e.g., children's new and gently used clothing, shoes, cribs, car seats, etc., as well as coaching and training to empower foster parents with skills to connect, understand and love these children.
