Food Rescue, Food Banks, Campus Kitchens and Pantries

When it comes to addressing food insecurity, food banks, kitchens and pantries require a platform and system to schedule volunteers and track the impact they make when rescuing food, preparing meals and delivering to vulnerable populations.

Manage Donors, Recipients and Volunteers

Centralize all applications in one database, making it easier to manage membership statuses and roles. By tracking data through GivePulse, you can collect information from various resources (e.g., city demographic data) to form a better understanding of your organization’s activity and impact.

  • Digital Applications
Digitizing your applications allows you to track all information in one database. Manage donors, recipients and volunteers and determine where they are in the application process.
  • Data Tracking
Track all the relevant data in regards to where the food is coming from (donor), where it is rescued or delivered to (recipient) and members (volunteer and advocates) who glue it all together.

Coordinate Food Runs & Meal Preparation

As an admin you may schedule or let volunteers decide what routes and runs they would prefer to take. When they register, they’ll be given information on when to pick up the food at the specific site, directions on handling the pickup, and where they need to deliver the food.

  • Ongoing Routes
Set up a calendar of ongoing routes and opportunities and let volunteers rsvp or register to them depending on the timing or the location (start and end addresses).
  • Messaging
Communicate with volunteers and members within an event, group, or on an individual basis using our built-in messaging system. Post public messages to your group or event wall to make broad announcements.
  • Maps
By displaying all your routes and events on a map, volunteers can visualize the proximity of any nearby opportunities. Clicking on an event will display all the necessary details and registration information.

Trainings and Community Education

We help you manage all your trainings to keep track of who is prepared to educate others. In addition, you may leverage GivePulse to manage who attends your educational/outreach events and programs.

  • Membership Roles
Assign members to specific roles for each event or group, and allow them access to different feature sets so they can use our platform for their specific tasks.
  • Track Registrations and Attendance
Sign in registrants, verify whether a user attended an event or was a no-show and how many hours were served. Keep notes and further information needed for each record.

Database

We aggregate all the data from food recovery, meal preparations, meal deliveries and educational attendance to allow you to have better insight to your outcomes.

  • Manage Impacts
Verify the type and scale of each volunteer’s contribution to see the impact your organization has on the community and find any popular trends that could give insight to your strengths or improvements.
  • Send Custom Fields
Build out and customize what fields and data you will want to collect per food run or experience. For example: you can customize to request all volunteers or food runs to track pounds of bread, package food, poultry, or even a simple summary of the overall weight.
  • Reflections
Get direct feedback from your volunteers through reflections of their experiences at each event or opportunity.
