The parade will begin promptly at 6:00 pm immediately following the light of the Winter Wonderland Tree! All are invited to come out and watch the fantastic display of lights. Rumor has it - Santa will be seen in the grand finale! Parties interested in participating in the parade are encouraged to utilize a holiday theme and decorate their entries with lights.
The Light up the Season holiday parade benefits greatly of volunteer assistance. This opportunity is on Thursday December 8th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with volunteers assisting via crowd control. Volunteers will be given a reflective safety vest and Santa hat to stand out as assiting personel with tasks being spaced out along Main St. on sidewalks and intersections encouraging spectators to keep their distance from the street and staying back on the sidewalk. Volunteers will also reminds parade floats as needed when passing by your location to remind that candy is to be handed to spectators rather than thrown out. If candy is dropped at the feet of spectators or in the street, assist by grabbing it and handing it to the spectators.
